Parent Involvement
Over the years, Good Shepherd has built a tight-knit and welcoming community that embraces new kids and families whether they are starting for the first time in Kindergarten or sixth grade.
Our teachers and staff know that parents are critical partners in their child’s education and in our community. We encourage parents to be involved in school life to whatever extent they want to be and are able.
Parents are always welcome to join a student for lunch. We have multiple volunteer roles in classrooms, at school, on field trips, and to support events and projects. Younger siblings are always welcome to tag along with parent volunteers.
Events for students’ families range from Grandparents Day to a Christmas Concert put on by all the kids to a Family Fun Night with a dinner, carnival games and a magic show.
