We plan to have Good Shepherd open for in-person learning this fall. We are focused on the safety and health of our community—and to have kids walk through the door on the first day! While we are grateful for the success of distance learning, we know that most students are at their best when they are able to engage with their teachers here at school.

We recently established a school re-opening committee to create Good Shepherd’s Pandemic Preparedness Response Plan (PPRP). We are fortunate to have many informed parents and staff working on this committee. The committee will use guidelines issued by the Archdiocese, Minnesota Department of Education, CDC, as well as information we’ve gathered through research on other educational models across the country and throughout the world to create our plan. It is our goal to create a plan that best suits the needs of the Good Shepherd community, and it will indicate the safety procedures families, students, staff, and visitors will follow. Once this plan is complete in mid-July, it will be distributed to you.

Our summer care program has already implemented safety measures that allowed the program to open. It has been such a joy listening to the kids laugh and talk in the classrooms again.
